Amorphophallus konjac watch - day1

At last it's broken the surface. I'm sure this is going to be a spathe as it's far too early for it to be a leaf stalk. It's too difficult to tell just by looking, its exactly the same as a leaf. Perhaps if I had photos to compare I could notice a difference.

  • Hi

The A.Konjac we brought from you last year is also showing signs of movement. The tuber is only around 600 grams. This is quite an exciting spring for us as it is only last year we started buying real tropical plants so it is interesting to see how our over wintering efforts come out. Unfortunately I went to check on the A.paeoniifolius during the christmas break in the shed and they felt like they were going a bit soft so I quickly brought them into the warm house. 2 of the 3 have hardened up again but the largest sadly seems to be going completely mushy. We are hoping the smaller 2 will start growth again this year but no signs as yet..........

Any news on how the A.titanum seeds are going ?
