Cultural Information
In mild areas cannas may be left in the ground in winter, with a thick protective mulch or, if grown as a pond marginal, left in situ, providing the water doesn't freeze. In regions with harsher climates it is advisable to lift and store the tubers in a frost-free environment.

Canna 'Durban' - 2Ltr £7.50
Also goes under the flashier name of 'Tropicanna' but there is no difference in terms of height, rate of growth, leaf or flower colour. Height 1.5m (5ft) in good summers. May survive winter if mulched.

Water Canna with lance shaped, glaucous green leaves and orange flowers produced in summer/autumn. Height 150cm. Tender but might just make it through a mild winter as a pond marginal.
