Also goes under the flashier name of 'Tropicanna' but there is no difference in terms of height, rate of growth, leaf or flower colour. Perhaps the gaudiest of all cannas with rich purple leaves striped and marked with pink merging to purple-red. Words cannot do it justice. Topped with bright orange flowers. Robust, reaching 1.5m (5ft) in good summers. May survive winter if mulched.
