Wabi kusa – Create a beautiful, lush landscape, immersed in water.
Norfolk – Saturday 29th February 2020, 10am.
There is no direct translation of wabi kusa, but it can be casually described as a “beautiful grass landscape”. Join us for a brand new workshop, in partnership with the experts at Scaped Nature and learn this incredible art.
Over two hours you’ll create a wabi kusa arrangement using plant substrate to create a basis for aquatic plants to grow on and from, whilst immersed in water. The finished aquascape will add the most tranquil centrepiece and talking point to a table, shelf or anywhere that’s pride of place in your home.
We’ll provide all of the necessary materials for the workshop including rock, pebbles, moss, plants, and glass dish. There’ll also be a much-needed coffee and cake break midway through.
Terms and Conditions. Please wear sensible clothing, appropriate for the weather. It can get a little messy as you’re dealing with plants. If you have any dietary requirements please just let us know in advance. Materials may vary. We understand that all of our workshop attendees have varying levels of capabilities and we’ll do our best to help you leave with a finished product, however you may need to complete the finishing touches at home if we run out of time. Light not included, but available to purchase here. Full terms and conditions.
