Deciduous fern, can be evergreen in mild areas, thin creeping rhizome forming a mat. Ovate fronds with many small fan-shaped segments, often turning an attractive rusty-brown in autumn and winter.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in shade/part shade.
