From the cool, wet slopes of the highest mountains in Mexico, Agave Montana produces grey/green, toothed margined, rigid, rounded leaves held in a tightly packed rosette, up to 1.8m across in mature plants. A relatively recent introduction to the UK, this seems to be the cold and damp winter hardy Agave we have been longing for.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun/part shade. Water liberally during the growing season.
