Originating from Australia
An evergreen climber with wiry twining stems bearing lance-shaped dark green leaves. The charming but unremarkable creamy-white flower bells are followed by amazing electric purple, marble-sized fruits in late summer. And better still, they persist right through to Christmas. Not to worry if the kids pop one into their mouths (and the temptation is considerable) - they're edible but not terribly tasty.
Grow in humus rich, moist but well-drained, neutral to acid soil in sheltered sun/part shade.
