Originating from New South Wales, Australia
A graceful evergreen shrub with slender arching branches. Fine, dark green leaves that are silvery beneath, densely clothe the stems and red spider-like flowers are produced from late winter through to autumn. Rarely seen without a flower, these are produced most abundantly in mid-summer.
The placing of this plant is important as it prefers a poor, dry soil and benefits from the protection of a sunny fence or wall. Grevilleas are intolerant of rich, moist and chalky soils. To maintain a tidy bush-like habit and ensure plenty of flowers, prune lightly in summer - late June/July.
