lifeless and dead in appearance, looking like shrivelled up fern leaves this plant comes to life when water is added, producing a flat rosette of scaly stems almost a foot across.
It can survive decades without water and can be "brought to life" countless times. It takes 2-8 hours for it to unfurl from its dormant state.
