An invaluable addition to any garden, this hardy, compact evergreen shrub has slender, glossy leaves and produces a profusion of heavily citrus-scented white flowers, opening from pink buds in late spring and a second flush of flowers is usually produced later in autumn. It is an excellent source of nectar for bees.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun. It may be damaged by prolonged hard frost, but the damage is usually superficial and it quickly recovers.
