A unique and elegant evergreen fern with long, slender, arching stems bearing unusual, leathery, glaucous/green, pointed, finger-like leaves. Dryopteris sieboldii is quite unlike any other fern, almost un-fern like and very Jurassic. It loves warm summers when growth will be lush and exuberant but in cold summers growth can be slower and a single plant may produce three or four fronds.
Grow in moist, humus rich soil in part shade. Will grow in dry shade once established. Cut back decayed foliage in spring before new fronds begin to emerge.

Eventual mature plant size :
Height 60cm

Spread 30cm
