(Joe Pye weed)
Originating from N. America
Magnificent, enormous, tough, and easy to grow perennial with leaves arranged in whorls around sturdy, red-tinted stems. In late summer it produces large, flat heads of deep rose coloured flowers. Very dramatic and architectural and loved by bees and butterflies. Leave the fluffy spent flower heads on for winter interest.
Grow in moist soil in sun/part shade.
