Vase shaped clumps of long, extremely slender, glaucous/green leaves with narrow white margins, give an overall shimmering silver appearance. These leaves grow upright but arch at the tips, and this well-defined, architectural shape, in addition to the sparkling quality when backlit by the sun are the distinguishing features of this elegant grass. 'Morning Light' is reluctant to flower in the average UK summer, but in a long, hot season, it may produce grey/pink, silky flower spikes reaching 1.8m tall.
Cut back in March, before new growth appears.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
Eventual mature plant size :
Height 1.4m
Spread 1m
