Originating from N America
A clump forming perennial with aromatic dark green serrated leaves and whorls of two lipped, purple/red flowers on stiff, square sided stems from July through to autumn. This variety of Monarda is very compact with large heads of flowers and has good mildew resistance.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun/part shade. Leave stems intact for winter effect and cut back in spring before new foliage appears.
