Family Fagaceae

Very rarely offered. A handsome, evergreen, spreading oak tree with deeply lobed, dark green leaves with hairy undersides. It is a cross between Quercus suber (Cork oak) and Quercus cerris (Turkey oak). It retains its leaves throughout winter, shedding in spring as the new growth appears.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun.
Suitable for topiary and restrictive pruning.
