Originating from Chile, Argentina
An evergreen perennial forming clumps of stiff, lance-shaped, grey/green, iris-like leaves. In early to mid summer they produce stems of cup-shaped, pale yellow flowers. Sisyrinchiums prefer a very well drained soil and are extremely drought resistant. They are versatile plants and lend themselves to all styles of planting, from cottage gardens to contemporary spiky yucca gardens. They also seed freely unless the flower heads are removed when finished.
Grow in poor, well-drained soil in full sun.
