A medium-sized deciduous tree native to the UK, with fine, deeply cut, fern-like leaves. White flowers in summer are followed by red berries in autumn. The leaf colour in autumn is also admirable, turning from dark green to red, orange and gold. A good specimen tree with a long season of interest for a small garden where space is limited.
Grow in reasonably fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun/part shade.
