Family Crassulaceae
Originating from Canary Islands
Succulent with grey green stems and branches terminating in rosettes of glossy, fleshy dark purple/brown leaves. As plants mature they may produce long branches that snap off with the weight of the rosette. These can be potted and will produce roots.
Grow in gritty well drained soil or compost. Keep dry in winter when leaves will turn green. Sunlight in summer intensifies the colour.
