Family Agapanthaceae
Originating from South Africa and Madagascar

Almost black stems and buds open to reveal rich, deep violet blooms held well above the foliage.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun. Divide in spring if clumps become congested and re-pot containerised plants regularly. Although congested plants will flower at a younger age, their roots are capable of cracking a terracotta pot.
