Description

Family Malvaceae
Originating from S.W. Australia.

Sophisticated and shapely, rarified in colour and form, and incredibly exotic. Its beautifully clear and translucent blue flowers have papery petals that undulate and slightly overlap each other, appearing to whirl around a central cluster of yellow stamens. Its deep green mini fig leaf-like foliage is lobed and coarsely textured, widely spaced on its open and spreading branches, making an airy small shrub that will flower from late spring until late autumn. Perfect in a very sheltered southern or coastal garden, or for growing in pots on a patio for summer, returning it to a frost free conservatory for winter.

Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 1.5m x 1.5m.
