A dainty and elegant fern of great character. The leaves unfurl from tightly rolled croziers to form upright fronds with striking ruby red stems, from which the leaflets are gracefully held with a slightly down swept poise. The intricately detailed leaves are bipinnate; with two ranks of tiny leaflets, and each frond has 20 to 40 pinnae, giving them a fine and soft feather-like structure. An invaluable fern for traditional woodland and jungle-style gardens alike, worthy of close-up viewing. Easy to grow in most soil types with plenty of moisture in part to full shade.
