Bergenias are invaluable garden plants – they’re evergreen providing interest in winter, and they are one of the earliest perennials to flower in spring. What’s more, they’re easy to grow, tolerate poor dry soil, and form a weed-suppressing carpet. ‘Jelle’ is compact but vigorous with leathery dark green leaves turning red/bronze as the weather gets colder, and white flowers in early spring.
Grow in moist, well-drained soil. Will tolerate poor dry soil once established.
