Evergreen perennial forming a large clump of slightly fleshy, grey-green, strap-shaped leaves and yellow-green tubular flowers with showy red bracts borne in arching racemes to 1.5m in height.
Grow in very well-drained humus-rich loam but will require protection from frosts. Full sun.
Height and spread after 2 – 3 years 50cm x 50cm
Semi mature height and spread after 4 – 5 years 1.5m x 1.5m
Potential height and spread after 10 – 15 years 1.5m x 2.5m, width is dependent on new rosettes forming a spreading clump.
