Description

Family Bromeliaceae
Originating from South America

Instant Amazonian chic. Lush and artfully marked foliage, outrageously flamboyant flowers, potentially cladding every surface of your garden, conservatory and house. Its rosettes of bright green leaves with creamy white stripes can be grown in the ground, in pots or attached to driftwood or the trunks of palms.  Its succession of wonderful long, arching intensely dusky pink and inky blue flower spikes make a long lasting display in summer. Easy to grow in very sheltered southern or coastal gardens, on patios for summer before returning to a frost free conservatory, in part shade.

Height and spread after 1 – 2 years 50cm x 50cm.
