Evergreen ornamental shrub that produces masses of spiky red flowers on upright stems from April to June, rich leathery evergreen foliage. The foliage begins to fade to a warm orange colour in late summer.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun in a sheltered position. Hardy in coastal climates and milder areas of the UK, may require winter protection.
