Luxuriantly abundant foliage forms soft mounds of brilliantly marked lovely, heart-shaped leaves, festooned with richly coloured nodding star-shaped blooms. This reliable, evergreen ground-covering hybrid has maroon flushed leaves in spring that mellow to bright, cheerful green for summer. The dainty panices of spidery flowers appear in spring as intense red buds and have large richly coloured orange sepals, surrounding the smaller inner fiery golden yellow petals. They form an airy and delicate haze of colour over the foliage. Easy to grow in any soil, even in dry shady conditions.
