Profoundly beautiful and venerable looking, verdant and shapely, this unique eucalypt has an ethereal quality. Left to form a medium sized tree, it will evoke the south pacific and make a wonderful single specimen. However, the Yellow Gum is extremely receptive to pruning, potentially into a ‘lifesize bonsai’, exposing its trunk so that the outrageously beautiful lime green, dark green, tan, cream patchwork can be enjoyed as the reddish brown old bark peels in strips. Easy to grow in any soil, including heavy wet clay in full sun, or in containers.
Height and spread in 20 – 50 years 15m x 10m, if not pruned.
