Family Scrophulariaceae
Originating from South Africa
A dainty, choice little evergreen tree with fine willow-like foliage on gently arching branches.. Fragrant tubular creamy white flowers are produced in late summer/autmun and fill the evening air with their fragrance. If allowed, it may develop into a multi-stemmed shrub, often with an untidy appearance. We prefer ours pruned into a pretty, elegantly-weeping, single-stemmed tree.
Grow in a sheltered position in moist but well-drained soil in full sun
