Description

Family Onagraceae
Originating from New Zealand

Possibly the cutest plant on the planet, diminutive, detailed, dinky and adorable, it bears exquisitely formed, petite exotic yellow and orange trumpet shaped blooms with purple recurved petal tips and anthers, followed by large edible cranberry-like fruits. Placement on patios or planting near seating and paths where it can be seen at close quarters is essential to fully appreciate its beauty. It forms mounds of moss like foliage draping itself over walls, rocks and pots most agreeably. Evergreen in mild winters it is hardy in southern and coastal areas and will thrive in any soil in sun or part shade.

Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 10cm x 1m.
