Extremely hardy and reliable, often surviving quite harsh winters without protective mulching.
From fairly high altitudes in the Himalayas it has largish white flowers, delicately scented, with a prominent lip and red to orange blotches at the base.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun/part shade.
