Elegant and fresh, majestic blooms with wide flaring and recurving petals, are clear lemon yellow at first, fading to white with pale green basal hues. They are borne over a dense clump of deeply coloured semi evergreen strap-shaped leaves, and whilst individual blooms last a day they are borne on spikes of many buds, producing a long succession of flowers over many weeks in summer. The bright and refined colour of ‘Joan Senior’ makes a welcome addition to the many loud, hot coloured daylilies and looks particularly impressive amongst darker foliage or flowers . Easy to grow in any soil in full sun.
