Family Asparagaceae
Originating from Japan

Huge and handsome leaves, prominent character, and massive architectural impact. Its elegantly pointed leaves have gracefully curved veins which frame their puckered undulating surfaces, giving its dusky silver/blue foliage a detailed and unique texture. Add to this the stout, tall flower stems bearing tubular, dusky lilac flowers that appear in summer, and you have a real showstopper of a plant. Easy to grow in all but thin poor soils, even in full sun, but best in moist, sandy or humus-rich, dappled shady woodland conditions.

Height and spread in 2 – 5 years 1m x 1m.
