This unique evergreen iris has palm-like fans of broad rich green leaves on bamboo-like stems and many small, orchid-like lilac white flowers in mid-spring.
The flowers are short-lived but the great clumps of foliage have strong architectural presence throughout the year.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained, slightly acid soil in part shade.
