Handsome, rounded heart shaped large leaves emerge in a delicious dusky purple colour, fading to green – although staying purple on their undersides. They form a mound shaped, herbaceous clump up to 60cm high. Striking broad, flat heads of many deep golden yellow daisy-like flowers, loved by pollinators appear over a long period in summer, towering over the foliage on dusky purple flushed stems.

Full sun can cause it to wilt in the hottest part of the day, afternoon shade suits it best. Easy to grow in damp conditions in any soil. Flowers to 1m tall.
