Description

Family Myrtaceae
Originating from New Zealand

An evergreen shrub with deep purple/red, glossy, leaves. This exceptional small shrub has much detail to offer, particularly in raised beds or near paths where the undulating surface and character of the leaves can be appreciated. Its dense and rounded shape is invaluable for planting amongst taller spiky plants, where it can create a dark and contrasting soft backdrop for architectural silver foliage, typical of Mediterranean style gardens.
Great for contemporary styles too, thriving in coastal climates and in pots in well drained soil in sun or part shade.

Height and spread after 10 years 80cm x 80cm.
