Family Plantaginaceae
Originating from Mexico.
Loud, leafy, and lush, this tropical-looking climber bears huge trumpet-shaped flowers of a delicious rose pink, with white markings in their throats and covered in tiny hairs giving them a lustrous sheen. Grown as an annual or tender perennial, it bears abundant large, deeply veined leaves, with stems that twist to support the plant. Easy to grow in full sun and great on a patio in pots or in a hanging basket for summer, and then moved into a frost-free conservatory or bright room for winter.
Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 2.5m x 1m.
