A superb evergreen tree. Large, glossy, leathery leaves are dark green above and often rusty-brown beneath. Huge, lemon scented cream flowers up to 25cm across bloom in summer. Grow as a specimen tree or a wall shrub.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Will tolerate dry alkaline soil.
Protect when young – mature plants are very hardy.
