Evergreen tree that bears gigantic, sweetly perfumed flowers which may be singles, semi-doubles or doubles. Has a broadly conical growth habit with dark green, leathery, glossy, broadly ovate leaves with rust, hairy undersides. Flowers are cup-shaped and creamy white with a longer bloom time than the cultivar.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Will tolerate dry alkaline soil. Protect when young – mature plants are very hardy.
