Family Brassicaceae
Originating from Southern Europe
- Exotic-looking rosettes of semi evergreen silver leaves.
- Beautiful pure white, heavily scented flowers for a long period.
- Lasting several seasons after mild winters, its self-seeding tendency is most welcome.
Sweetly scented, floriferous, and exotic looking, this essential shrubby perennial will happily occupy the lower levels of planting schemes, in and around taller plants. It bears masses of frothy-looking pure white flowers that are deliciously scented, especially so in the evenings. Forming a dense mound of silver foliage above which the flowers are held, after a mild winter it forms a taller, usually leaning stem with the foliage borne on side branches. Occasionally it will last for several seasons, setting seed. Easy to grow in all but the heaviest wet soil in full sun.
Height and spread after 1 -2 years 40cm x 40cm.
