Originating from China
Phyllostachys bissetii is a beautiful bamboo from China with lovely green culms (canes). Forms a dense canopy and is ideal for forming a privacy screen.
It is very vigorous and should only be planted in areas where it is allowed to spread. It is one of the earliest bamboos to send up new canes in spring.
Grow in fertile soil in sun or shade.

Semi mature height and spread after 8 – 10 years if not pruned 5m x 5m
