A Phyllostachys of short stature growing only to 3m-5m. Canes are quite slender and emerge reddish/brown, becoming olive green, aging to burnt orange. Phyllostachys humilis leaves are small and plentiful and are olive green, with a glaucous underside, very noticeable in the breeze.
Like most Phyllostachys it thrives in full sun but will tolerate light shade.
Phyllostachys humilis is excellent for a small garden. Tolerant of pruning and makes a very good hedge. Used in Bonsai.
Pallet delivery, will be cut back to 2m.
