Description

Family Pinaceae
Originating from Canada, N.E. America

A neat, dense, cone-shaped, dwarf conifer with blue/green needles. In spring, its new needles are lime green. It rarely forms a perfectly symmetrical shape and mature plants are more often seen as fat, quirky, irregular cones but this simply adds to their charm. Perfect for bonsai or growing in a container. Like this it may be brought inside for Christmas each year.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained neutral to acid soil in sun.

Height and spread after 5 – 6 years 75cm x 50cm
Semi mature height and spread after 10 – 15 years 2m – 1m
