Originating from New Zealand.
Fantastically cheerful glossy, bright green and gold foliage is borne on black stems, making a striking contrast with the foliage, and a very classy looking plant. It forms a compact mound shape, making it ideal for planting amongst taller plants, where its architectural form can off-set upright taller species. Great in contemporary planting schemes, in pots and in coastal locations. During spring and summer the scent of its tiny black/dusky purple flowers can be detected wafting some distance from the plant.
Easy to grow in any soil type in full sun or part shade.
Height and spread in 5 – 10 years 1.5m x 2.5m.
