Originating from Japan, S Korea
A tidy, evergreen fern with a lustrous sheen. The fronds emerge in early spring, covered in silver hair-like scales. They droop at their tips when young, hanging like tassels, hence the common name ‘tassel fern’.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in deep to part shade.
