Description

AGM
Family Lamiaceae
Garden origin.

One of the most distinctive of all salvias. Dusky and slightly hairy dark orange petals emerge from   even duskier burgundy sepals, borne in dense clusters at the tips of stout upright stems. They have a wonderfully complex structure with extended upper and lower lips, as exotic looking as their unique colour combination. This incredibly distinctive display lasts from early summer until the frosts, and its importance for late season colour cannot be overstated. The bushy silver green aromatic foliage and its reliable, strong-growing nature are further bonuses. Plant in any free draining soil in full sun or in pots.

Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 1.5m x 50cm.
