Description

Family Bignoniaceae
Originating from S Africa, Swaziland

Evergreen shrub or scrambling climber bearing intense firey red flowers. Each bloom has a slender, curving tubular shape with a wide flaring tip. They are borne in large clusters in profusion in late summer. The handsome glossy dark green leaves make a fantastic backdrop to the floral display.
Grow in well-drained soil in full sun.

Height and spread after 2 – 3 years 2m x 1.5m
Mature height and spread after 5 –  6 years, depending on support if grown as a climber 4 x 5m
