SKU: 98255255

Description

Family Asparagaceae
Originating from Texas

Forms a perfect sphere of narrow blue/green, sharply pointed leaves on a thick trunk. Similar in appearance to Yucca rostrata, but the leaves are slightly broader, wider and more rigid.
They branch after flowering, and mature specimens can be multi-headed. These are very hardy Yuccas and will tolerate average or even cold UK winters.
They may be damaged in severe winters such as 2010 and we would advise covering to protect from prolonged periods of snow and ice.
Grow in poor, sharply-drained soil in full sun.

Height and spread after 4 – 5 years 80cm x 50cm
Semi mature height and spread after 10 – 11 years 1.5m x 50cm
Potential height and spread after 25 years 3 – 4m x 1.5m, width is dependent on flowering and subsequent branching.
