Family Araceae
Originating from South Africa
Forms great clumps of large, glossy, bright green, arrow-shaped leaves and produces large pure white flowering spathes over a long period from spring to late summer. The lily like flowers are held on long, sturdy stems and make the most wonderful cut flowers.
In milder winters the foliage will remain evergreen, but in severe frost the plant may be cut to ground level, only to return with vigour in spring.
Grow in moist soil in full sun. (Ours grow in very dry shade and do extremely well, self-seeding with abandon).
Height and spread after 1 – 2 years 60cm x 60cm
Mature height and spread after 3 – 4 years 1m x 1m
