Fearsome dagger-like broad leaves emerge from a soft nest-like abundance of curly thread-like fibres, creating a unique combination of textural qualities, and making a stunning potted addition to patio and garden displays for summer. Requiring a frost free conservatory or greenhouse for winter, this stunning plant warrants inclusion for its rugged yet elegant compact stature, making a rigid and striking architectural specimen. It rarely produces its spectacular 3m tall flower spike when grown in pots, which  means that it will have a long life, as the flowering rosette dies after blooming, and offsets are very rarely produced.
