Family Begoniaceae
Originating from Brazil
Sensationally luxuriant, exotic and sophisticated, this unique begonia has Wow Factor in abundance. Its tall stems bear large, slender leaflets that droop in a tropically arching repose, arranged in a palm-like shape, radiating outwards from the tips of their long red petioles. Dark green above and coppery red beneath, they provide a verdant backdrop for the, pink-stemmed inflorescences, bearing clusters of many white starry flowers, their petals surrounding a showy, protruding central group of yellow stamens, wow! Easy to grow in free draining potting compost for placement on a patio for summer, or in a conservatory.
Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 2m x 1m.
